Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PokerClimb processes when you use our poker-training app and website, why we use it, and how you can delete your account. PokerClimb is for adults aged 18 and over and does not offer real-money gambling.

Information we process

Depending on how you use PokerClimb, we may process:

  • A pseudonymous account ID and session credentials. Session credentials are stored on our server as one-way hashes.
  • Account details you provide, such as your email address. Passwords are stored as password hashes, not in readable form.
  • Training activity that syncs across devices: the hands you answer, selected actions, grading results, response times, concepts, progress events, and saved mistakes.
  • Profile settings such as language, experience level, training goals, weekly goal, reminder preference, and map progress.
  • A leaderboard nickname and Survival game results if you use those features. Nicknames and scores may be visible to other players on the leaderboard.
  • Subscription entitlement information received from RevenueCat, Apple, or Google, such as product, store, environment, and entitlement expiration. Payment card details are handled by the relevant store, not by PokerClimb.

Training can work offline. When sync is enabled, progress and account data are sent to our API so they can be restored or used on another device. The app also stores training data and preferences locally on your device.

How we use information

  • To provide training sessions, calculate progress, show your results, and sync data between your devices.
  • To authenticate accounts, recover access, and protect sessions from unauthorized use.
  • To provide leaderboards and operate subscriptions you purchase through an app store.
  • To send account verification and password-reset emails when you request those features.
  • To maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Daily practice reminders are scheduled locally on your device after you grant notification permission. PokerClimb does not use those reminders as push messages from a notification server.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share only information needed to operate requested features with service providers, including database and hosting providers, email delivery, RevenueCat for subscription management, and Apple or Google for store purchases. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose information if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or the public.

Retention and account deletion

You can request permanent account deletion from Profile by choosing Delete account. The app deletes synced account data and progress, clears the local progress and downloaded Pro content on that device, and tells other connected devices to clear their local copies when they next connect.

To prevent an offline device or delayed store webhook from restoring deleted data, we retain one-way hashes of deleted session and account identifiers as security markers. Limited store webhook identifiers may also remain to prevent duplicate purchase events. These records are not used to restore your profile.

Deleting your PokerClimb account does not cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription and does not delete records held independently by those stores or RevenueCat. Manage or cancel subscriptions through the store where you purchased them.

Your choices and rights

You can use available in-app settings to change profile preferences and notification reminders. Account deletion is available in the app. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, correction, restriction, or information about our processing. Contact us at [email protected] for privacy questions or requests.

Children and age restriction

PokerClimb is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer the service to anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us so we can investigate and delete associated account data.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the date above when we publish a new version. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
